Andreas Rohl is the bicycle planner for Copenhagen. With at least 1 in 3 people commuting to work or school by bike, it's considered one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world. Andreas is spending part of this year working with a local firm called Urban Systems Ltd. We had a chance to talk cycling with Andreas at the corner of Dunsmuir and Hornby.
Andreas will present a special lecture at the SFU City program on June 4, called Sticks, Carrots and Tambourines: Actively Learning From Copenhagen's Transport Successes. Joining the discussion will be Dale Bracewell (planner, City of Vancouver), Tania Lo (Momentum Magazine) and Erick Villagomez (Spacing Vancouver). Margaret Gallagher will be the moderator. The event is free but you need to reserve your seat with SFU.
