Babies on Board

Adding to your family doesn't have to mean giving up your bike. There are many options available for transporting babies and toddlers by bike, from front and rear seats, to cargo bikes, to trailers.

We explored some of the options and issues related to riding with wee ones. We spoke with Ilan Handlesman of Bikes on the Drive about gear, including kiddie-sized helmets. We also spoke with Professor Meghan Winters of SFU's Faculty of Health Sciences, and with Momentum Magazine's Tania Lo. Tania transports her young family by bike using a variety of options, including front and rear seats, cargo bike and trailer, as seen below.
