Changing Lanes

Can bikes and cars get along? The Canadian Automobile Association thinks so. The CAA is hosting a conference in Vancouver today, called "Changing Lanes: Improving the Bike-Car Relationship on Canada's Roads." The conference was inspired by the rise in commuter cycling and a recent study that shows 65% of CAA members also own bicycles.

We spoke with conference participants Jeff Walker (CAA), Sergeant Tim Kravjanksi (West Vancouver Police Department, and Eleanor McMahon (Share the Road Cycling Coalition) about ways to help cyclists and drivers peacefully co-exist.

Tune into BC Almanac today at noon for an open line on the subject.
