The Cone Sisters of Baltimore had a passion for art. With over 3000 objects in their private collection, they amassed one the world's greatest holdings of early European Modernism. A portion of their collection is now on display at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The VAG's Thomas Padon took us on a short tour through "Collecting Matisse and the Modern Masters: The Cone Sisters of Baltimore."

He's pictured here at the entrance to the exhibit, on front of a photographic mural depicting the interior of one of their apartments, where works by Matisse, Van Gogh and others would hang side by side.
