Vancouver's Vanishing Corner Grocery Stores

Michael Kluckner's latest book, Vanishing Vancouver: The Last 25 Years, launches May 3 at the People's Co-op Bookstore at 7 pm.The book explores the ongoing evolution of the city, including the disappearing corner grocery store. Victoria Drive was once home to many such establishments, the majority of which no longer operate as corner stores. Scott's Grocery is an exception. Via Tevere is an example of the evolution of this type of building.
