Starting the show off with the instrumental music of Randy Edelman, who's released his first pop record in close to 30 years, but a little of the scoring he loves to do snuck onto it.
45 years ago today the Beatles performed their last full concert (27 minutes) at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The quality of the document recorded by a 15-year old fan is not quite broadcastable (you can listen to the whole show in this post) but any Beatles is good.
And local singer and 60s-music lover Laurie Biagini is performing Wednesday night at the Railway Club as a part of Vancouver's International Pop Overthrow Festival.
And this past Saturday was the 115th birthday of Leon Theremin, and Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin do a nice tribute song to him, and if you haven't seen it I would recommend the documentary on Theremin: Electric Odyssey (sorry for the subtitles, but you can rent it at the library!):
