I really don't play enough Free Design on the show..

And a further connection in Kurt Swinghammer's new album (his wife Lori Cullen worked with Chris Dedrick from FD) called Turpentine Wind, that is available on bandcamp for free listening, and also available in a deluxe Blu-Ray package.

I have a tune from John Gorka's latest album - he will playing with Red Horse, coming to Vancouver Island in July, and it's Lea Thompson's birthday... yes, she's an actress but also a singer!

Couple of requests to start off the shew... our resident weather expert Norman in Prince George wants to hear a weathery tune from Pink Martini, and Heather on Lasquiti Island sends out a song to Bruce the Chef (I chose Keely Smith, hope that's ok).

RIP Gil Scott-Heron, who died on Friday and the news broke Saturday morning... and a first listen to the new Blackie and The Rodeo Kings album Kings and Queens (not a fan of the cover, though).

And with these ukulele taking over the world, Ron in Vancouver wrote in about the Vancouver Ukulele Circle, and you can also visit the BC Ukulele site that lists a few others clubs around BC.

Discovered a new album by Giorgio Tuma, a songwriter/producer from Italy who has a new album called In The Morning We'll Meet which is perfect for the early mornings, AND it features the voice of Lori Cullen!

New music from Christopher Cross!  Yup, he's been away for 10 years and if you were a fan of his material, you will continue to be.

Plus, music from New Zealand's Boh Runga, and happy birthday to Cilla Black and Bruce Cockburn.
