        <![CDATA[<!--#include virtual="/contentconnector/embed.html?type=audioclip&id=2242116034&mediaid=2242115637&category=AudioMobile/Earlier"--><br /><br />Bit of an accidental theme today of coming home, returning, arriving...<br /><br /><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedy_Johnston"><b>Freedy Johnston</b></a> starts it off with a track from his <i>Right Between the Promises</i> album - and congrats to <a href="http://www.valdy.com/"><b>Valdy</b></a>, who has been named a <a href="http://www.gg.ca/document.aspx?id=14541"><b>Member of the Order of Canada</b></a>, and Bruce the Chef on Salt Spring Island requested one of Valdy's earliest tunes.<br /><br />I've just discovered there is a documentary on Scottish pop band <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMX_Bandits_%28band%29"><b>BMX Bandits</b></a> (no, not the film or a punk band)...<br /><br />...and Lynda in Vancouver let me know on Wednesday that <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduard_Khil"><b>Eduard Khil</b></a> (<a href="http://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/eduard-khil-i-am-very-glad/id367926417"><i><b>Mr Trololo</b></i></a>) had suffered a stroke, and Tom in Victoria sent me an email early this morning to let me know he <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/soviet-crooner-eduard-khil-dies-in-russia-aged-77-shortly-after-stroke/2012/06/04/gJQApXhkCV_story.html"><b>has passed away</b></a>.&nbsp; One more time for the world...<br /><br />
