Robert's Trip Home : Rough (Ruff) Life

They're all rich, they're all powerful, but most importantly, they're all self-made success stories. Over the past few months, we've been taking the Dragons back-----back to where it all began for each of them. And for Robert Herjavec, his roots couldn't stretch farther from his Bridle Path mansion. Think tiny farm, muddy ducks, rusted tractor, and hot soup in a warm kitchen.

Our Senior Producer, Lisa Gabriele was with him, and was posting on our blog about their trip to Zbjeg, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Zagreb, Croatia.

blog_croatia12.jpgThis is Laila. Laila is three years old--a mere puppy in pampered Canada. But in Croatia, Laila works to keep the chickens in line, and overall herds anything that needs herding, maybe even the car that hit her and rendered her lame and blind. Robert's uncle actually took Laila to the man in the village who puts down sick or lame animals, but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to put Laila out of her misery. So Laila limps around, matted and happy, wiggling earnestly towards any and all kind voices. She's really sweet. And she absolutely adored Caprice. She could probably sense the love coming off of her.

What do you think of the Croatian Shepard? Look at that face!
