By far the majority of calls the North Shore Team gets are for ordinary people who’ve had a fairly undramatic mishap. The trick is to get to them before it gets dangerous. This is not the stuff that makes news hours, but it is absolutely critical work and requires many volunteer hours.
Jiae and Youngeun were visiting from Korea. They wanted to do some easy hiking in our great Canadian wilderness. They'd gone online to find the trails and routes they thought they could handle. What they didn’t know is that one wrong turn in these mountains can lead you so far away from people that you can’t ask for directions back!
