Since 2006, Wapikoni Mobile has travelled across Quebec giving young Aboriginals a chance to express themselves through filmmaking. The nonprofit organization recently lost its funding from the Federal government, leaving it in crisis. Under such intense financial pressure, many organizations might be forced to shut down, but this dynamic organization has no intention of folding. Filmmaker Sonia Boileau reveals how Wapikoni Mobile has helped young Aboriginals... and how they are now trying to save it.

Sonia Bonspille Boileau is a Mohawk from Oka and Kanesatake. She is a television producer working on children's programming with the Aboriginal production company, Nish Media in Gatineau. She won wide acclaim for her documentary Last Call Indian which tells the story of her journey to explore her Mohawk grandfather's life story and her Aboriginal roots.Read more
