More about some of the people from the 8th Fire TV series.

Ashley Callingbull, 22, is from Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta, but spent part of her childhood in one of the most dangerous reserves in Canada, the neighbouring Hobbema First Nation.
Ashley survived domestic abuse and endured extreme poverty as a child, but overcame these obstacles to pursue a successful modeling and acting career. In 2010, she was second runner up for the Miss Universe Canada pageant.
She is also working towards a B.A. in drama and physics at university in Edmonton. On Blackstone, she plays Sheila Delaronde, a high school student who is a positive role model.
"The things that have happened in the show have happened to real people, like myself. I have lived through those struggles and I think that's important for people to know these things are going on and we're having a voice through the show speaking about these issues", she says.
