More about some of the people from the 8th Fire TV series.
Winnipeg's Most is a Canadian hip/hop trio made up of Jon-C, Charlie Fettah and Brooklyn.
Their first music video, All that I Know generated half a million hits on YouTube.
Their successful debut album, Winnipeg's Most was produced by Juno nominees Stomp and Jay Mak of RezOfficial Music.
Although they enjoy fame now, the three young men are products of Winnipeg's mean streets. Those experiences are reflected in the lyrics of their music. Brooklyn explains the importance of music to him. "If I hadn't found music, I'd be dead or in jail for life."
Jon-C and Brooklyn are both Aboriginal. (Brooklyn describes Charlie Fettah as "so white he's pink". )
Though racism is not an issue in their music, both Jon-C and Brooklyn have felt its sting. They say that until recently they had little understanding of the long term impact of colonization on their peoples.
The Most released their second album, Goodfellaz, in June 2011 and in November went on to win (among other honours) Best Group at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.
Winnipeg's Most perform across Canada.
