The documentary series The Lens will end its run on CBC Newsworld on September 8, 2009. We are no longer accepting proposals for new commissions.
Documentaries will continue to air on CBC Newsworld under the banner of The Passionate Eye, including the documentaries originally commissioned for The Lens. However, The Passionate Eye is not taking proposals for new commissions at this time.

Between 2006 and 2009 The Lens has presented 63 Canadian-made documentaries from talented independent filmmakers, most of them commissions, many of them award-winners. We're very proud of these films and the many producers and directors that we have worked with from across Canada.
