Malls R Us

What do Al Gore, the Tower of Babel, science fiction, gothic cathedrals, artichokes and roller coasters have in common? All come together in one of North America's most popular suburban institutions - the enclosed shopping center. Tell us what you thought of this film.

Sad to see the malls in North America in decline. What if they were to incorporate residential space.. either over the malls, or attached.. then they would have built-in shoppers.. and also all the business from those visiting the residents. The assured income from the residential tenants.. would allow store tenants to be able to rent at a lower cost.. so more every day type of stores could come in. Have never seen such an arrangement.. but it might be worth a consider, before letting everthing close down. I think I would be pleased to find housing attached to a mall, especially when I become a senior. Would be nice to find groceries etc, without falling on ice.
