Well done, that was an excellent documentary. I wish it would have had more 'official' participation (aka from current officials). Though it was very interesting, especially concerning the private/public pseudo-partnerships that exist. Can't wait till it available to watch online!

Never really realized that by researching vaccines against anticipated threats we were essentially developing the tool of the threat - and not in a philosophically sense, but in a very serious, anthrax-serious, kind of way.

The documentary covered a wide spectrum of information that was easy to absorb. The power fools who have put us through their nuclear proliferation have found a new war toy to spend our/their money on.

Even as they pump billions into securing our borders in their worry over 'dirty bombs' and other terror treats, they hustle to create new nightmares that can fall into unscrupulous hands.

I was left with the feeling that the 2001 anthrax letters were released simply to serve as a catalyst for the Bio' defense' build up. Big media scare, lots of coverage....media moves on to Scott Peterson or some such, and play blind when the money boys green light investment in powderized death.

We couldn't stop them from building their nukes, I highly doubt any outcry will deter their new agenda. Thanks for the scary show, it beats recent Hollywood thrillers by a country micron!

Why did it not mention the fact that members of the Bush administration went on the anti-anthrax vaccine CIPRO up to 6 weeks BEFORE the anthrax mailings?

I would have liked the documentary to mention the fact that Al Qaeda was originally blamed for the attacks and obviously framed for it. The letters had "death to Israel" and "praise Allah" written on it. Who benefits from these attacks and what else is Al Qaeda blamed for?

This documentary did not cover the biological threat that has been taking place right above our heads everyday for the past 8 years. The link between Chem Trails and advanced Nano technologies and Morgellons disease, this is far more threatening that anthrax and it is going on right in front of our eyes. I challenge the CBC to do an honest in-depth documentary about what is already taking place.

I set my VCR to tape this last night as it aired at 11:00 Atlantic, but unfortunately it didn't, so I missed the documentary. Any chance it will be rebroadcast?

I've asked the cbc to please consider doing a program on the warfare chemical testing done over Winnipeg with an agreement between Canada and the U.S. military. I was a child there at this time and have always wondered what health effects resulted and if any study was done on those of us subjected to this nightmare. Seems they conveniently forgot us.

I hope that more people will ask them self's if the anthrax attacks was an inside job and not Osama Bin Laden, then what about the attacks of 9/11? There are over 600 architects and engineers calling for a new & independent investigation, since there is very strong scientific evidence that fires and damage from the planes did not alone bring down the "three" towers that tragic day in New York.

This was a remarkable documentary that brought back into focus events just before 9/11 that have gone completely underground in light of all the coverage on the economy,Afghanistan & the Obama Presidency.

A couple of elements stood out for me in viewing this documentary. I'm amazed that it was Richard Nixon who had the political foresight to ban offensive biological weapons. I didn't follow how all this unravelled in the USSR but it's clear that research in the U.K., Canada & the U.S. continued on the "defensive" front that blurred into the "offensive" realm well after Nixon's efforts in ending this biological arms race.

Now that it appears that private labs in the U.S. have been jobbed out by government agencies to further research specific strains & deployment strategies of biological agents, it is ironic that other private business institutions are being chastised & reined in by concerns of the public good over private greed.

This whole scenario reminds me of the Gommorah scenario & how the Italian population had to finally stand up to the mafia & hold them accountable for their crimes.

When will we as citizens of the world be able to put pressure on all our governments & say this insanity must not be funded with our or private capital.

We have to face enough dire predicaments over the next decades without letting these particularly virulent genies out of the bottle. There is no reason to trust any government or military institution with this capability.

At the very least we should be honouring the memories of the scientists who were murdered in trying to bring this situation to the larger world's attention as well as the innocent victims of these tests worldwide.

And speaking of these "tests", where is the Canadian governments accountability in their role as providing testing grounds for deployment of these weapons in co-operation with the U.K. & the U.S. during the biological warfare experiments in the 50's & 60's.

The comments by a previous discussion member about Winnipeg's exposure to these biological agents are probably not an isolated case.

Where do we sign up to start an international forum demanding accountability for the end of financing for these biological warfare programs?

This documentary should definitely be re-aired with information as to where to sign up to start this long overdue process.

Your show on Anthrax was very indepth and informative- as a new 911 It was an inside job convert I readliy accept what the US government is attempting to do. Since the Kennedy assinations and with the help of the internet I can see as long as people like bush and the people who pull his strings are in a position of authority I have to say there is no hope. I try and keep a lot of this information away from my family and when it's talked about at work I try and make light of it knowing how very true it is.
Sad to say but you must realize at CBC there are things the general public should not know.
