When you make your "private parts" (be that your scrawny chicken legs,
your hair, or something more obvious) public, you expose more than a bit
of skin. This week, we look at what we're exposing by making the
private public.

So besides the obvious, what part of your body do you not like to reveal
in public? Sook-Yin takes her mic to you to see what you're feeling shy
about.
One of our most common nightmares is being naked in public. For
Rich Binning, it's something he
chooses
to does every night. And he doesn't just expose his private parts ...
he performs with them. Rich is one of the stars of the hit travelling
show Puppetry of the Penis... and we'll find out why he performs "stupid
penis tricks" every night.
When your most "private part" is your
skin, how do you keep from exposing yourself? "Makeup addict"
Sushma
Subramanian tells us her story of accidentally bearing it all.
You might remember
this story
from last spring: an Iranian cleric made headlines for saying that
"immodestly dressed women" were responsible for all the earthquakes in
the world. When university student Jennifer McCreight heard that, she
decided to put his theory to the test. So she devised a rather unique
science experiment that turned into a worldwide Internet phenomenon.
We'll talk with
Jennifer McCreight about "Boobquake." (Also heard on Your DNTO)
Can nudity be a weapon?
Alex Freedman tells us how a little exposure can rid you of unwanted company.

When
Mary-Ann Kirkby
was ten yeas old, her parents left their Hutterite colony to start a
new life. One of the things that was left behind was Mary-Ann's
bonnet...otherwise know as her "mitz." She'll tell us about exposing her
"private part" - her hair. (Pictured left: a young Mary-Ann in her
mintz.)

many women, going into a salon to get a bikini wax is a strange and
painful experience. But what's it like for the person doing the waxing?
Last fall, freelance journalist
Virginia Sole-Smith decided to find out... first-hand, by
enrolling in beauty school. We'll find out what it's like to get professionally personal with the private parts of strangers.
What
do your kids call their "private parts" - and what do you do when they
decide to make them public? Actor, mom, and amateur anatomy expert
Diane Flacks comes by to help us answer some of those questions.
(Also heard on Your DNTO)When
Tamara Hoover
posed nude for an artist, she thought the photographs were charming and
tasteful. But then the pictures were put on the Internet. That's when
Tamara discovered that revealing your privates online has
consequences... especially if you're a teacher. She'll tell us her
story.
(Also heard on Your DNTO)What happened when you exposed yourself? Sook-Yin takes to the street to find out.
When
Kaj Hasselriis entered a "strip spelling bee," he exposed more than his
ability (or lack thereof) to spell very complicated words. He'll tell
us what happened.
Most people who knew
Dick Miller never knew
what his upper lip looked like... until he shaved off his trademark
moustache. He'll tell us why he did it, and what it's like to expose a
part of yourself most people have never seen.
Mary-Ann Shantz
is a PhD student, doing her doctorate in history. Specifically, she's
studying Canada's nudist clubs in the post-war years. Her research has
taken her to some unexpected places. She'll come by to tell us about it.
Lisha
Hassanali started a new job last fall. Everything was going well until
one day, when she got up from her open plan office desk and accidentally
exposed a very private secret.
