About the Host

Chris is an award winning broadcaster based in Kelowna. 

He has spent the last ten years exploring the interior of BC for CBC Radio, first in Northern BC as the morning host in Prince George, and more recently in the Okanagan and Kootenays. He started his career in Ottawa, and has also manned the microphone on Vancouver Island and in the Middle East, where he freelanced for CBC News.

Chris grew up on Galiano Island near Victoria, holds an undergraduate degree in American History from the University of Victoria and a graduate degree in journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa. He has won a number of journalism awards, including most recently a national documentary award from the RTDNA.

Chris lives in downtown Kelowna.
