Fernie gets festive with 'Santa Pups' filming

Disney has taken over the city of Fernie, and transformed it into a winter wonderland. It's filming the Christmas-themed movie 'Santa Pups,' this month.

About 75 crew are in town, and the city's four biggest hotels are sold out, a rareity in this ski-town's off-season.

Two years ago, Hot Tub time Machine was in Fernie, and word has spread that it's a great place to shoot a film.

There's even opportunities for local talent to have a role in the film. Mel MacKay's downtown toy store is going to be in the film. And she couldn't be happier.
