Where does swimmer's itch come from?

Signs are up at B.C. lakes warning of swimmer's itch. In most cases it's a minor annoyance, but still one people want to avoid. And the best way to do that is understand where it comes from. Turns out, snails have a lot to do with it. For more we reached Bruce Leighton of Simon Fraser University.
