CBC reporter explains why DFO Canada cannot provide risk list to pipeline panel

If approved, the Enbridge Northern Gateway project will cross more than 1,000 streams and rivers.

That's why the Joint Review Panel studying the proposed dual-pipeline wants a comprehensive list of risks tied to the project.

But Fisheries and Oceans Canada says it can't provide one and insteada insists that it will work with Enbridge to ensure the project is done right, once it is given the green light.

CBC reporter Kurt Petrovich is following the story and spoke with Daybreak North to share his knowledge.
