Over 20 whales spotted near Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve



Imagine this: over 20 whales breaching, tail slapping and generally frolicking. That's what a group of scientists and conservation crew members witnessed earlier this week. It's a rare occassion to see so many transient orcas at play with each other.Debby Gardiner witnessed the rendezvous. She studies the ecosystem of the island for the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve. Carolina De Ryk spoke to her this morning.
