Hampstead resident questions huge US-Canada price gap for dishwasher part

Melanie Drew purchased her dishwasher part from Sears US for just under $80, in Canada the price she was quoted by Sears for the same part was just shy of $340. Why is there such a big difference between Canadian and American prices?
