After the breakdown of her marriage, her ex-husband, Guy Turcotte, stabbed both their children to death. After Turcotte's lengthy trial, the jury delivered a verdict of not criminally responsible because of a mental disorder. Gaston talks to us about the sharp increase in this type of verdict in Quebec and Turcotte's recent unsupervised outings from the Pinel Institute.
