Debate over no-pet clause
The SPCA is lobbying the government to get rid of the no-pet clause in residential leases, which allows landlords to refuse a potential tenant if they have a pet. The SPCA says that's not fair and it is lobbying the government to change the rules. Steve Rukavina spoke to the Director of Animal Advocacy at the Montreal SPCA, as well as a spokesperson for the Corporation des propriétaires d'immeubles du Quebec (CORPIQ) the largest landlord's association.
