Kirkland to pay part of pipes causing Lac St-Louis to be pooey
The town of Kirkland has finally decided finally to accept some of the responsibility for raw sewage emptying into Lac Saint-Louis from residential homes on its territory. Kirkland will now pay half the costs to correct the problem up to a total of Eighteen hundred dollars -- that is an about face for the town which had been insisting, sometimes heatedly, that residents were entirely responsible. We talk to a resident and to John Meaney, mayor of Kirland.
