Sharing the road (part 1)
Over the next three days as the warm weather settles back in we're going to take some time on Daybreak to examine how we share Montreal's streets. At the moment, tensions are building as more cars take the roads, more trucks, more bicycles, more skateboarders. Remember that in the past month we lost William Quintero, 17 years old, who was struck while skateboarding to school down a bike path. He had the green light, and an STM bus turned into him, hit him, and killed him. And this week 56-year old Carl Guyot succombed to the injuries he sustained when a driver opened a door as he was cycling by. He hit the door with full force and flipped over. He wasn't wearing a helmet. We begin this morning looking at drivers.
