South Shore Mayors and MPs are pushing for the complete replacement of the Champlain bridge. Ottawa recently announced 158-million dollars will be spent to renovate the Champlain. But a recent experts study suggests parts of the structure are in such poor condition, they could collapse. With an imminent federal election, the bridge has become a political issue.
