Wyclef Jean wants to lead Haiti: reports

Wyclef Jean - hip hop star - and the next president of Haiti?

The Ottawa-based newspaper, "Le Droit" is reporting Jean is considering a bid for the presidency.

Current president René Préval is barred from running for a third term. The paper cites a source close to the current president, who says Jean is only waiting to fill out the paperwork. A spokesperson for Jean would not confirm the rumours.

Daybreak asked two Haitian-Montrealers, Neil Armand and Martine St-Victor, what they think of the idea.
