Seeds for Haiti
Farmers in Haiti need seeds.
Most of their crops were devastated in the earthquake.
Sounds simple enough.
But what kind of seeds should be used to help rebuild Haiti's agricultural sector?
This is where it gets complicated.
Seeds have become the centre of a debate among farmers in Haiti.
And in newspaper columns, blogs and Twitter feeds outside of Haiti.
It all started when Monsanto announced a donation of $4 million worth of seeds over the next year.
A few days ago, thousands demonstrated against the gift and even burned the Monsanto seeds in protest.
Sebastien Rioux is the coordinator of "Haiti, one seed, one land."
He says he's presenting an alternative to Haitian farmers.
