Bill 47 to end municipal referendums
A new law before the Quebec National Assembly that has some Montrealers arguing that a crucial part of community democracy is in peril. The Charest government's Bill 47 would jeopardize the ability of neighbours to controversial development projects to hold a referendum on it if enough people sign a municipal register. Two grassroots activists gave us their reactions to the bill.
