Remembering the Bluebird Cafe fire

hi-blue-bird-cafe-852.jpgThe fire at the Bluebird Cafe on September 1st 1972, a bar where working class english-speaking montrealers used to gather on Union between Ste-Catherine and Rene-Levesque downtown, has no memorial. It's something a group of people are trying to rectify.

We spoke to a survivor of the fire and the daughter of a victim. Both would like to see a memorial to what happened.
