Daybreak Again: April 7, 2012

Julie Sedivy.jpgThe Alberta provincial election is in full swing and the campaign leaders have been on the offensive, and in some cases on the defensive as well. There have been ads and promises meant to sway us or convince us that our vote will go to the party who has the best vision for Alberta's future. However, how much we believe these messages depends on how close we pay attention and over the next three weeks on Daybreak, we're going to take a closer look at how you influence your own voting decision. Julie Sedivy is our guide through the discussion. She is an adjunct professor in linguistics and psychology at the University of Calgary and she's also the co-author of the book, Sold on Language: How Advertisers Talk to You & What This Says About You.
