Your average supermarket tomato is sorely lacking in a key ingredient: flavour. But scientists have unlocked the tomato's genome, and that means that the puzzle of restoring a tomato's taste is ready to be solved. Professor Harry Klee is part of a team at the University of Florida that's spent a decade breeding flavour back into the tomato.
