Les Casseroles & Patrick Watson

Listen

patwatson.jpgTalks between students and the Quebec government collapsed this week.  Looks like the strike will go on, as will the nightly protests, for some time still.

Canadians showed their support on Wednesday by taking the pots & pans - or casseroles - protest to streets across the country in what was called "Casseroles Night in Canada".

Many of Quebec's artists also support the student movement, including Patrick Watson.  The increasingly popular and undeniably charming Montreal band played a gig in Toronto's Danforth Music Hall on Tuesday night.

Day 6 producer Dominic Girard sat them down after the show in a noisy pub to get their perspective on Montreal - and Quebec's - increasingly populist and undeniably massive protest movement.   You'll hear from Patrick Watson first, then guitarist Simon Angell, and guest vocalist Erika Angell.  (language warning)
