The Missionary Church of Kopimism - the Swedish religion that views information as sacred and the sharing of it as inherently moral - performed its first marriage on the weekend.
The ceremony was overseen by a priest in a Guy Fawkes mask and orated by a computer (click "Read More" for video).
The happy couple was asked to share their "love, knowledge and feelings, as long as the information exists".
Ernesto from website Torrentfreak adds:
Like any other matrimony, a Kopimism marriage is bound by rules. The Church of Kopimism allows the couple to share their love with others, as long as those others don't steal it. Most importantly, however, they have to copy and remix themselves.
The Church of Kopimism was officially sanctioned by the Swedish government earlier this year. That's when we spoke with Gustave Nipe, one of the Church's organizers. Click the "listen" button to hear it again (or for the first time).
