Because of music rights limitations, podcast listeners miss out on some of the music we put into the show.

To make it up to you, here are the songs we used this weekend.

Now your Day 6 experience is complete.  Like a balanced breakfast.  Of news.  And current events.

See all the videos after the break.

Miss the latest show? It's here.

Booker T. & the MG's - Time is Tight

Booker T. & the MG's lightens the mood after our stories on Japan one year after the Fukushima disaster and the reactions to #Kony2012.

Johnny Cash - 25 minutes to Go

This upbeat but sad song paired well with our piece on China's hit reality show, "Interviews before Execution."

Booker T. & the MG's - Green Onions

Booker T. returns to play us out of our segment on Musicians vs. Politicians. More songs from that segment after the break.

Politician's have a history of using songs that sound nice, but aren't always on message for their campaigns.

Rush - Tom Sawyer

Rush has requested that Ron Paul and Rush Limbaugh quit using their song.

Bachman Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business

Hilary Clinton played this song during her campaign. The songs lyrics are actually about being a slacker.

 John Williams - Imperial March

Ron Paul has used Darth Vader's theme to introduce himself to his constituents.

Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne

Rick Perry supporters used this song on the campaign trail. Not the best pick for someone who was considered a little too unpredictable, and whose campaign kind of went off the rails.

Heart - Barracuda

John McCain took heat after using this song to introduce his running mate, Sarah Palin:

Al Green - Let's Stay Together
And finally, here's President Obama singing Al Green.
