Dump the Calendar for a Better One?

New year, new calendar.  

But not everyone is happy with the way we count our days of the week.  Calendar reform has likely existed for as long as, well, calendars.  

And if astrophysicist Richard Conn Henry and economist Steve Hanke have their way, someday we'll have a much more rational calendar.

Never mind this mishmash of 30 days, 31 days and 28 or 29 day cycles.  The Henry-Hanke Permanent Calendar sets a predictable pattern... with a bonus!  Every 5 or 6 years, a full extra  week would be added... for partying.

We asked Prof. Henry why he wants a new calendar so badly... and whether or not anyone thinks he's crazy.
