The new animated film "The Adventures of Tintin" is out next week, and some say that the characters fall into what's known as the "Uncanny Valley" - the eerie effect caused by computer-generated animations who are simultaneously too human and not human enough. Lawrence Weschler has studied the effect, and his latest book is called Uncanny Valley: Adventures in the Narrative.
