Pushing the envelope of thrill and horror was part of what artist and engineer Julijonas Urbonas had in mind when he designed a hypothetical "euthanasia" roller coaster. According to Julijonas, the coaster would provide its rider with an artful, elegant and euphoric end. He calls it a kind of "science fiction of design."
