Can lollipops soothe the madding crowd?
Yes, according to Victoria City councillor Charlayne Thornton-Joe who handed out lollies last Canada Day. She hoped it would keep people from getting to rowdy.
She took a cue from police in the UK. They passed out lollies to rowdy pub-crawlers at last call. Fewer bar brawls broke out. Was it cause of suckers?
