true grit blog.jpgThe Bechdel Test for movies originated in a 1985 comic strip by cartoonist Alison Bechdel, in which one of the characters says she'll only watch films that meet these three requirements:

1. There must be at least two women in it...

2. Who talk to each other...

3. About something other than a man.
