The CBC's Susan Ormiston has been in Afghanistan for the past two weeks — her third visit to the war-ravaged country — reporting on the current election and gathering material for a more in depth look at the country down the road.

(CBC) In the course of this visit, she has found herself the only woman at an election rally high up in the mountains of central Afghanistan and only minutes away from a suicide bomb attack on the outskirts of Kabul.
You can read about Susan's adventures in her Afghan Diary.
But if you would like to chat with her directly, please join us here on Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at noon ET for an online discussion about Afghanistan's election turmoil and what it all might mean.
