Detective Poppy Wisnefski is young and impatient. Inspector Caligra chose her for Psych Crimes and Crisis to help her acquire the patience and understanding she needs to go from good cop to great cop.
The daughter of a police officer, Poppy was the only girl in a family of boys and has spent her life proving she can be as tough as her brothers. With a wry sense of humour and the ability to speak uncomfortable truths without batting an eye she definitely comes across as one tough cookie--but does she have a softer side?
Luisa d'Oliveira fell in love with stories and performing when she saw "The Wizard of Oz" as a child, and that passion was confirmed the first time she stood on stage at six years old. At Notre Dame high school in Vancouver, a school that focuses heavily on the performing arts, she appeared in every show possible and made short films.
After graduation and a few years exploring science and psychology, she dove into professional training at Capilano University and studied with independent teachers in Vancouver. It wasn't long before d'Oliveira was landing roles in popular television series including "The Good Wife," "Supernatural," and "Psych."
Her feature film credits include the recent dramatic comedy 50/50 with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen and the upcoming action thriller Red Machine starring Billy Bob Thornton, James Marsden and Piper Perabo.
