Tourists planning a winter vacation on the Caribbean island of Grenada should be aware that there are new laws on what people can wear in areas away from the beach.
Authorities are enforcing a recently passed indecent exposure law that bans bathing suits in non-beach areas as well as saggy pants that reveal underwear.
Violators will usually be told to cover up, says police commissioner James Clarkson. Failure to do so could results in a $270 fine or six months in jail.
At least a few locals are already contesting fines.
