Health Canada has recalled 16,000 Seymour Custom Solvent Blend and Water Blend aerosol products because they do not meet mandatory warning labelling requirements.
The recalled products can be identified by the following descriptions and item numbers:
Seymour Custom Solvent Blend comes in a spray container with a fill weight of 156g (5.5 oz.), and can be identified by the item number 16-2395 and the UPC 043281003698.
Seymour Custom Water Blend comes in a spray container with a fill weight of 255g (9oz.), and can be identified by the item number 16-2393 and the UPC 043281003681.
This lack of labeling information, including the hazard symbol for pressurized containers, may lead to serious injury.
The recalled products were sold at various paint and decorating stores across Canada.
Neither Health Canada nor Seymour of Sycamore Inc. has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these products.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to the place of purchase for a product replacement or refund.
