Kids jewellery pendents recalled over lead levels
- April 9, 2010 12:08 PM
- By Charlene Sadler
About 1,000 packets of children's jewellery pendants have been recalled after Health Canada testing determined they were
almost 90 per cent lead.
The pendants, which had the appearance of being made of brass, silver and pewter, are in the shapes of dogs, letters, smiley faces and hearts, as well as other shapes that appeal to kids.
Neither the importer Frabels Inc. of Montreal nor Health Canada has received reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of these pendants.
They were sold in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Quebec.
For more information, see Health Canada's recall notice here.
