Crate and Barrell glass water bottles recalled over shatter risk
- April 9, 2010 11:59 AM
- By Charlene Sadler
Crate and Barrell glass bottles designed to look like plastic water bottles have been recalled because the glass stopper can shatter when it's being inserted or removed.
Approximately 2,285 of the recalled glass bottles were sold in Canada, and approximately 42,000 were distributed in the United States by Crate and Barrel.
Crate and Barrel has received seven reports of the recalled water bottles shattering, including four reports of hand lacerations.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bottles and contact Crate and Barrel to obtain a full refund.
For more information, see the recall notice here.
