- By Charlene Sadler
Oxmoor House is recalling about 52,000 do-it-yourself books because
they contain errors in certain electrical wiring diagrams that could lead consumers to incorrectly install or repair electrical wiring.Incorrect wiring could pose an electrical shock or fire hazard, however no incidents have been reported.
The books includes Lowes Complete Home Improvement Repair and Sunset Basic Home Repairs, which has been in publication since 1975.
Consumers who used any of the technical diagrams or wiring instructions in the recalled books should immediately contact Oxmoor House
.Consumers with the recalled books should return the books to Oxmoor House for a refund.
The Electrical Safety Authority strongly recommends hiring a licensed electrical contractor to rectify any faulty wiring installations. Consumers may also view the recall notice on the Electrical Safety Authority's website.
