JYSK pyjama bottoms recalled over design and label issues

About 1,225 pyjama bottoms have been recalled across Canada because they don't meet federal design and flammability requirements.

The garments, made by JYSK were sold at JYSK Linen'n Furniture between February 2009 and January 2010.

Loose-fitting children's sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear. When loose-fitting sleepwear is made with natural fibres such as cotton, they can burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child's body.

Neither Health Canada nor JYSK has received reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this sleepwear.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled pyjama bottoms away from children and return them to their nearest JYSK location for a full refund.
